dc.description This chapter explores the relationship between language, identity, and activism in campus movements. It examines how language is used to construct and negotiate identity within activist communities and intersects with gender, sexuality, ethnicity, and other marginalised identities. By analysing activists' linguistic strategies, the chapter shows how language can be a powerful tool for resistance, inclusion, and social change. The research draws on empirical evidence from various disciplines, including sociolinguistics, critical discourse analysis, and social justice studies, to offer insights into how activists strategically use language to challenge dominant discourses and ideologies. It looks at how language can be used to transform activist movements, including reclaiming derogatory language, promoting inclusive terminology, and using language to dismantle oppressive systems and narratives. It offers valuable insights for promoting inclusivity, empowerment, and resistance within activist communities, thereby enriching our understanding of the role of language. en_US
