Abstract:
This study focused on finding out the availability and use of school farm and other facilities in the
implementation of secondary school agricultural education programmes in Migori County, Kenya. It sought to
describe the available facilities and resources, and the use by students in learning school agriculture. Descriptive
survey research design involving 384 agriculture students was employed. Closed-ended and open-ended
questionnaires were distributed to collect data from the respondents. Data analysis was done using SPSS Version
22. Descriptive statistics (bar graph, frequencies and averages) were used to do the analysis. The study found out
that certain facilities vital for the teaching and learning of agriculture do not exist at all. In cases where they exist,
their uses were not satisfactory.
